    About the Role
    This is a new full-time position created to support a growing project portfolio and involves close collaboration at stakeholder level. This key technical role includes graphic and drawing support across diverse commissioned projects, along with research and data gathering for Director-prepared reports. You'll manage project documentation, maintain accurate records, and organise information within our filing systems. Working with a small, dynamic team, this role promises variety, autonomy, and a rewarding, fast-paced work environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, reporting to a Director, to develop project designs, plans, and drawings
    • Produce detailed construction drawings, including plans, elevations, sections, and other technical elements
    • Conduct site visits to collect information and maintain site records as needed
    • Coordinate project documentation, conduct research, support report preparation, and develop project specifications
    • Maintain knowledge of industry trends, regulations, and technological advances

    Requirements

    • Minimum of 3 years' experience as a graphic design assistant, CAD technician, or similar role within landscape projects
    • Proficiency in CAD, AutoCAD, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite
    • Strong technical drawing skills
    • Effective communication and collaborative skills
    • Ability to compile reports and conduct technical research
    • Understanding of relevant industry standards and regulations, with a proactive attitude toward learning
    • Experience interpreting and preparing landscape architectural drawings and specifications
    • High attention to detail and problem-solving abilities

    We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Design Technician with considerable proven experience on Landscape projects and using publishing tools to create high quality publications.     What's the role?

    Stripping it back, you'll be responsible for processing day-to-day accounting, closing journals, intercompany transactions, reporting and any other related areas that may need your support and expertise. With the upcoming ERP implementation, projects will come up that you can get stuck into and there will be areas where you are asked to provide support as they move through the various stages.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • General Accounting: Prepare and post approved journal entries, maintain a master list of monthly journal entries, and record and adjust accruals/ deferrals.
    • Cost / Inventory Accounting: Perform inventory valuation and accounting, variance analysis, and reconciliation of system-based transactions to inventory ledgers/reports.

    • Contribute to the delivery of the HR strategy and work on projects such as employee engagement and wellbeing, EVP, and change management
    • Report on key HR data for the organisation and work with SLT to improve key metrics such as absence, performance, engagement
    • Revise and update HR policies as and when necessary

    • Proven experience in a senior advising or junior management position is ideal
    • Experience in managing a busy ER case load
    • CIPD is desirable, though not essential

    What is the job?

    • General Accounting: Lead the preparation and posting of approved journal entries, maintain a master list of monthly journal entries, and manage accruals and deferrals to ensure accurate financial reporting.
    • Cost / Inventory Accounting: Perform detailed inventory valuation and accounting, conduct variance analysis, and ensure reconciliation of system-based transactions to inventory ledgers.
    • Fixed Asset Accounting: Oversee all fixed asset activities including depreciation, asset retirement, and generating fixed asset reports.
    • Intercompany Transactions: Manage intercompany invoicing and reconciliation, ensuring timely resolution of open items and compliance with policies.
    • Period End Close: Conduct comprehensive ledger and sub-ledger reconciliations, prepare financial reports for period-end close activities, and ensure detailed documentation for all balance sheet accounts.
    • Audit Support: Provide thorough documentation and support for both internal and external audits.
    • Query Resolution: Address and resolve queries from internal stakeholders, escalating issues as necessary.
    • Communication and Change Management: Identify continuous improvement opportunities, support team members, and engage with key stakeholders on updates and challenges.
    • Reporting and Analysis: Develop and present detailed financial management reports, including cost centre and overhead reporting, providing insights and recommendations for financial efficiencies.
    • Compliance and Internal Controls: Ensure compliance with all internal controls, policies, and governance requirements, retaining appropriate evidence as required.

    What we're looking for…

    • Either part or fully qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with experience in a similar role.
    • Proven experience in a fast-paced industry such as FMCG, manufacturing, or wholesale.
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and lead.
    • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP systems (SAP experience is advantageous but not essential).
    • Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.

    Package:

    • Salary of £45,000 - £55,000 per year.
