    The Role

    The Accounts Assistant will report into the Finance Manager and will be responsible for:

    • Vat reconciliations and processing month end returns
    • Management of a number of multicurrency bank accounts
    • Journal entries
    • Month end processing of prepayments and accruals
    • Assisting with the month end close down of the company ledgers
    • Assisting the Financial Controller with month end balance sheet reconciliations on an ad hoc basis
    • Supporting with purchase and sales ledger when required
    • Management and completion of entity cashbook and petty cash
    • Ad hoc support when required

    Your Profile

    To be considered for the role of Accounts Assistant you must:

    • Have experience of working with purchase and sales ledger along with VAT and bank reconciliations
    • Have a strong desire to learn and develop as this role will be a steep learning curve
    • Be a strong communicator both through written and verbal methods
    • Be willing to pick up ad hoc duties when required

    Desirable skills include

    • Exposure and understanding to month end process i.e prepayments and accruals
    • Working towards AAT qualification
    • Strong VAT experience is desired

    • Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel; experience with TM1 and Oracle 11 is advantageous.
    • Highly focused, detail-oriented, proactive, and able to think creatively.

    Essential:

    • A minimum of 1 years' experience within a credit control or cash collections environment.
    • IT literate with solid experience of Microsoft packages- specifically Excel.
    • Confident Telephone manner

    Desirable:

    • Experience with accounting software such as sage
    • Experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce
