Macildowie Finance is on the lookout for a talented Management Accountant to join a leading Group Accounts team in the hospitality industry, based in Wakefield. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller and with responsibility for a team of two, you will support the Group Financial Controller in the effective delivery of the monthly management accounts, as well as simplifying and improving regular tasks in a changing environment. What is the job?
- Support the Group Financial Controller in delivering monthly management accounts
- Take responsibility for a team of two, ensuring their alignment with account delivery objectives.
- Identify opportunities to simplify and enhance routine tasks within a dynamic work environment.
- Actively contribute to streamlining processes to adapt to changing requirements.
- Work closely with Managers, Department Heads, and Senior Executives to address operational queries.
- Provide feedback to the Group Financial Controller on matters influencing the accounts department's overall operation.
- Participate actively in the company's initiative to replace finance systems.
- Contribute significantly to defining and implementing new and improved business processes.
- Communicate clearly and concisely with stakeholders of varying levels, both verbally and in writing.
What are you like?
- 2-3 years of relevant management accounts experience.
- Either newly AAT qualified or studying towards an accounting qualification
- Meticulous attention to detail in all tasks and ensure accuracy in reporting.
- A logical and methodical approach to problem-solving and task execution.
- Display a curious and investigative mindset to delve into complex issues and find solutions.
- Ability to effectively delegate tasks and supervise team members, ensuring task completion.
- Exhibit forward-thinking abilities by anticipating future needs and planning accordingly.

- Salary of £35,000 - £40,000 (depending on experience)
