    We are currently recruiting for a Credit Controller to join a dynamic finance team based in Belper, Derbyshire.

    This is a full-time, permanent position with working hours from Monday to Friday, totalling 37.5 hours per week. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the company's credit and collections process, ensuring timely payment from customers, and supporting overall financial stability.

    Credit control experience is not required, we are looking for someone with great attention to detail, happy to learn and has experience in using systems / computer literate.

    Job Title: Credit Controller

    Location: Belper, Derbyshire

    Salary: £23,000 - £28,000 per annum, dependent on experience

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Chasing payments in accordance with account terms.
    • Resolving customer queries and concerns promptly and professionally.
    • Coordinating with internal teams, including dispatch and sales, to facilitate order release.
    • Uploading data to the invoice discounting facility.
    • Conducting credit management activities, such as reviewing customer accounts.
    • Processing credit card payments over the phone.
    • Assisting with ad hoc administrative tasks as required.

    Experience / Qualifications:

    The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and qualities:

    • Previous experience in credit control is desirable but not essential. Candidates with strong administrative experience will also be considered.
    • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments.
    • A proactive mind-set and the willingness to learn and develop within the role.
    • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.

    We are seeking a talented individual to join a finance team as a Finance Assistant. This is a full-time role with flexible hours, and the successful candidate will initially work on-site with the opportunity for hybrid working after a probationary period.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage all aspects of purchase ledger, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices.
    • Assist in day-to-day financial transactions and general accounting tasks.
    • Collaborate with the finance team to support month-end and year-end close processes.
    • Maintain financial records and documentation in accordance with company policies.

    Requirements:

    • Proven experience in a finance-related role.
    • Strong focus and proficiency in purchase ledger.
    • Familiarity with accounting software; experience with Sage 200 is advantageous but not essential.
    • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
    • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team.

    The roles will be varied and interesting, include audio and copy typing of legal documents, preparing mail, liaising with clients, colleagues and other organisations as well as managing diaries and mailboxes for busy people.

    The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent typing skills, in particular a very high standard of speed and accuracy, together with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook. The successful candidate will also have good organisational and communication skills, and the ability to work on their own initiative as well as the flexibility to work as part of a team.     Due to continued expansion, my client is looking to take on a Senior Accountant to help drive further growth and join their dedicated and friendly team.

    You will be managing a portfolio of clients and helping to mentor more junior members of the team. You will be experienced with the busy day-to-day atmosphere of a UK accountancy practice, dealing with clients' accounts and reporting directly to the partner.

    The role's responsibilities:

    • Preparation of statutory accounts for Sole Traders, Partnerships and Limited Companies.
    • Preparation of Corporation Tax computations.
    • Preparation of Personal Tax returns.
    • Explaining Tax liabilities and Tax Planning opportunities for clients - previous experience desirable but not essential.
    • Managing a varied portfolio of clients and maintaining excellent working relationships.

    The ideal candidate will be:

    • Minimum of 4 years' experience in UK Accountancy Practice.
    • Either ACCA, ACA or Qualified By Experience.
    • Experienced with IRIS software
    • Strong experience with other cloud-based accounting software such as Xero and/or QuickBooks.
    • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
