Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a Credit Controller to join a dynamic finance team based in Belper, Derbyshire.

This is a full-time, permanent position with working hours from Monday to Friday, totalling 37.5 hours per week. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the company's credit and collections process, ensuring timely payment from customers, and supporting overall financial stability.

Credit control experience is not required, we are looking for someone with great attention to detail, happy to learn and has experience in using systems / computer literate.

Job Title: Credit Controller

Location: Belper, Derbyshire

Salary: £23,000 - £28,000 per annum, dependent on experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Chasing payments in accordance with account terms.
  • Resolving customer queries and concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Coordinating with internal teams, including dispatch and sales, to facilitate order release.
  • Uploading data to the invoice discounting facility.
  • Conducting credit management activities, such as reviewing customer accounts.
  • Processing credit card payments over the phone.
  • Assisting with ad hoc administrative tasks as required.

Experience / Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and qualities:

  • Previous experience in credit control is desirable but not essential. Candidates with strong administrative experience will also be considered.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments.
  • A proactive mind-set and the willingness to learn and develop within the role.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
