    Area Account Manager (Luxury Kitchen Brand; B2B) - London

    Location: London (WFH); covering London (with all travel expenses paid)

    Salary: Above market average + significant bonus + car/car allowance

    Hours: Mon-Fri; 09:00am-17:30pm (with some flexibility on start and end times)

    Macildowie are working with a well established, luxury retailer of homewares who is looking to recruit an experienced Account Manager. In this role you will be accountable for managing over 50 accounts and generating new business leads with trade partners (Property Developers, Architects) and Retailers. If you have a passion for Design and experience of working within a luxury branded business then this could be the perfect role for you!

    Key responsibilities:

    • Responsible for the planning and execution of the retail strategy for retail accounts, ensuring alignment with global imperatives and growth aspirations.
    • Develops a strategic Area Sales Plan (ASP) that includes annual sales targets, product placement, marketing, and promotional programmes and competently influences Social Media and Online Marketing promotional activities.
    • Ensures disciplined and effective execution of ASPs, including identified priority changes, resulting in increased product market share and profitable growth
    • Deeply understands customer account businesses and environmental influences. Keeps current on changes and best practice that influence strategic plans
    • Able to take decisions based on a market-wide, holistic view and understand how this might affect the whole business
    • Manages and cultivates existing account relationships to leverage growth opportunities
    • Identifies and actively pursues new customer opportunities, cultivating a momentum of enthusiasm
    • Monitors daily sales performance metrics to maximise revenue and margin

    About the candidate:

    • Previous account management experience is essential.
    • Experience & passion for the Design, Home Interiors or Lifestyle industry is highly desirable
    • Able to show a positive and progressive attitude and a flexible approach to change
    • Have a strong desire for self-development and a willingness to learn new skills
    • A record of accomplishment in successfully increasing sales and margins within an account portfolio
    • An understanding of how to construct a Sales Plan in line with the overall company strategy utilising a variety of levers
    • An effective communicator, you will also be able to interrogate your business results and construct and implement creative solutions as needed as well as being able to deliver and action these with your customers.
    • Experience working within a "premium" culture and environment would be beneficial
    • Degree level qualified in either Business Management, Marketing, Design (or equivalent experience) would be an advantage

    PSAA is an independent, not-for-profit organisation who are appointed by government as an Appointing Person under the under the provisions of the Local Audit and Accountability Act 2014 and the Local Audit (Appointing Person) Regulations 2015. In this role PSAA is responsible for appointing an auditor and setting scales of fees for relevant local government bodies in England that have chosen to opt into its national scheme and ensuring the effective management of contracts with audit firms for the delivery of consistent, quality and effective audit services. It provides these services to over 99% of local government bodies, such as local councils, police and fire bodies and national parks,

    To support PSAA to manage the contracts that provide audit services to local government bodies, this newly-created post will join an experienced and talented contract management team to provide a high-quality, effective service to its opted-in bodies utilising your significant knowledge and experience.

    The duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to,

    You will have extensive experience of managing organisationally significant contracts, ideally service-led, contract law and a knowledge or understanding of public sector regulations. You do not need to have local audit knowledge or experience - PSAA will provide this through on the job knowledge transfer.

    In addition, you will be an exceptional communicator able to negotiate, influence and engage with people across all levels and have an ability to manage potential conflict in a calm and constructive manner.

    Job Responsibilities:

    Strategic Planning & Delivery:

    About the Role:

    Main Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Conduct monthly project reporting and quarterly forecasting for a million-plus grant-funded project
    • Rigorously monitor expenditure against budget, ensuring compliance with funding guidelines
    • Assist in quarterly submissions to UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) and address finance queries from UKRI
    • Facilitate successful grant claims post-quarter end
    • Cultivate effective partnerships with the Project Management team, providing guidance on allowable expenditures as per UKRI regulations
    • Assist in project setup and maintenance within SAP Business ByDesign
    • Develop proficiency in SAP Business ByDesign, utilising it for journal postings, timesheet tracking, and report generation
    • Manage Capex projects, asset under construction, and fixed assets
    • Track project cash flow and integrate cash outflows into quarterly grant claims
    • Provide support for financial reporting and analysis of the China legal entity when required
    • Opportunity for involvement in other projects or cost centers
    • Identify opportunities to standardise, streamline, and enhance process accuracy
    • Engage in various ad hoc requirements as needed

    Education / Qualifications:

    • Strong A levels with a minimum of 3 "B" grades (excluding General Studies)
    • Bachelor's degree with a 2.1 classification
    • Professional qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with first-time exam passes

    Knowledge and Experience:

    • Minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience
    • Experience within engineering or manufacturing sectors preferred
    • Proficient in project accounting principles
    • Advanced Excel skills, capable of creating diverse data models for accounting and finance purposes
    • Familiarity with accounting and forecasting software such as SAP Business ByDesign
    • Ability to leverage IT tools to drive business performance and enhance management reporting
    • Experience in a fast-paced global environment is advantageous
