Job Description

Interim Category Manager (Professional Services) - Outside IR35
Macildowie are exclusively partnering with a public sector organisation in Leicestershire who are recruiting for a 6 month interim opportunity on an outside IR35 basis.

Although it is for a Public Sector organisation they are wanting an individual who ideally has a blend of public and private sector experience, who has the exposure from the private sector as well as being commercially minded and solutions focussed.

Benefits
- Outside IR35 - able to work through limited company
- Rate - they are looking c£475-£540 per day
- Hybrid working - 2 days on site (Office based Leicestershire) with the rest from home - flexibility to come in more if this is wanted

Role
You will be joining a busy, challenging function and so in order to be successful you need to be a proactive and assured procurement professional able to engage and influence senior stakeholders. You will have a handover with an outgoing head but they need someone who will be able to pick up the work quickly and be able to add value within a short period.

IMPORTANT
This will be a very hands on role and the day to day will require you to stretch vertically to clear through some legacy areas of work. If you want more of a purely strategic, hands off role where you are delegating to a team then this isn't the role for you.

Requirements
- 3+ years public sector procurement experience including end to end processes and experience at Manager or above level
- Experience within Professional services
- Desirable - experience within a commercial business in addition to the above
- Immediately available/ able to start a new role within 2 or less weeks' notice
