Job Opportunity: Finance Manager

Organisation: Not for Profit

Location: Hybrid working (2 days a week in Birmingham)

Salary Range: £55,000 to £65,000 per annum

Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours Mon-Fri

Role Overview:

Macildowie are representing an exciting leading charitable organisation, is seeking a dynamic Finance Manager to join their team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the financial health and sustainability of the organisation on the day to day basis, while also providing key insights to drive strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities:

- Manage all financial operations, ensuring compliance and efficiency.

- Provide insightful financial reporting and analysis to support strategic decision-making.

- Drive new business growth by implementing necessary financial processes.

- Lead and mentor a small Finance Team, fostering their professional development.

- Prepare monthly management accounts and variance analysis for review.

- Develop annual budgets and forecasts for the Charity.

- Support contract costing analysis and pricing.

- Maintain accurate contract registers and detailed costings.

- Assist in the implementation of new finance and PO systems.

- Ensure efficient and accurate audits by liaising with external auditors.

- Authorise bank payments and maintain statutory accounting and tax records.

Key Skills and Attributes:

- Qualified Accountant

- Minimum 5 years' experience in finance

- Excellent IT skills, particularly in MS Excel

- Strong financial controls understanding

- Experience in managing a small team

- Continual improvement mindset

- System implementation experience is desirable

- Experience in a regulated or not-for-profit organisation is desirable
