Interim HRA Accountant (HRA)

Employment Type: Interim
Duration: 6 Months
Salary: 450/day - 600/day

Macildowie are currently working with a Council in the East Midlands, who are looking for a Interim HRA Accountant for a period of 6 months. The role would be predominantly remote working with the occasional day on site and can pay 450/day - 600/day dependent on experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain financial records for the HRA
• Monitor the HRA budget, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions
• Support annual budgeting and financial planning for the Housing Department
• Prepare financial reports and assist with statutory accounts

Requirements

• Experience in public sector finance, ideally with Housing Revenue Accounts
• Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Experience with financial software systems in local councils
