Macildowie are delighted to be partnering with the Angling Trust who are a c5m turnover not for profit organisation based DE7 5GF looking to appoint a Finance Business Partner in a newly created post within their team. This is a great development opportunity working under an experienced CFO and includes fully funded study support as well as a development path for the next 2-3 years as you gain business partnering, management and broader finance experience.

The Angling Trust are a not for profit national governing body who are funded by and work with Sport England as well as partnering with Visit Wales and NRW. They are focussed on helping to protect the waterways and the fish, which live within them, ensuring their health and protection for future generations as well as memberships and competitions.

Prior not for profit experience or an interest in fishing/ angling is NOT a requirement and they would welcome those with a different background to bring in new ideas to the organisation.

The Role
Reporting into the CFO you will be part of a team of 5 and responsible for supporting the CFO on the budgeting and forecasting processes as well as leading the production of management accounts. As mentioned above this will provide a great development opportunity as will give you exposure of year-end processes, line management, business partnering and broader strategic change. Given this it would provide a great 2-3 year opportunity for you to become qualified in a broad role and significantly enhance your experience, skillset and prospects for the rest of your career.

Finance Business Partner Responsibilities

- Support the CFO with the preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts, forecasts and budgets.

- Proactively and positively contribute to the effective and timely delivery of the financial operations for all of Angling Trust Ltd, Fish Legal (an unincorporated association) and A.C.A. Trustee Company Ltd.

- Working with the CFO and department heads to develop departmental and project budgets
- Deliver suitable departmental and project reports on a monthly, quarterly, annual and post project event basis as appropriate.

Requirements
- Part-qualified (CIMA, ACA, ACCA) individual who wants to develop and get exposure to business partnering elements over the coming years
- Experience leading the preparation of management accounts as well as working with budgets and forecasting processes
