Procurement Manager

Macildowie are delighted to be partnering with a Public Sector organisation who are looking to appoint a Procurement Manager to deliver a strategically focused, professional procurement service.

The Role

This is an exciting role to support the organisations Procurement function, being a senior figure and line managing a small team in a great environment.

You will be reporting into the Head of Procurement, deputising where necessary while supporting and guiding stakeholders at all levels, using best practice procurement and supply chain management principles.

In this role, you will be implementing the Council's Corporate Procurement Strategy, ensuring that all procurement activity within various areas of spend are compliant to internal governance and applicable national legislation. You will develop and implement procurement strategies, working with key stakeholders to drive efficiencies and optimise value for money throughout the procurement lifecycle.

You will work in partnership with budget holders and senior managers to develop innovative procurement strategies for a diverse range of procurement categories that identify efficiencies and directorate savings to manage non-pay spend activity.
