Procurement and Inventory Manager
Salary: Circa £46,000 - £49,000 per annum
Location: Derbyshire

With over four decades of expertise, our client has solidified its position as a premier manufacturer and distributor. Macildowie are partnering with this amazing client to find them a Procurement/Inventory Manager!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Procurement and Inventory team: including procurement officers and assistants, ensuring mastery of processes and tools, defining objectives, and fostering training and development.
  • Maximise product availability while optimising inventory turns and minimising dead stocks, in adherence to defined stock strategies.
  • Procurement & Inventory Management: Develop a deep understanding of their Demand Planning & Procurement Execution systems, translating procurement plans into actionable system parameters.
  • Monitor and improve supplier performance and track inbound transport costs versus the value of imported goods, ensuring seamless imports of goods from their diverse supplier base.
  • Inventory Planning & Visibility: Forecast future demand, provide visibility on inventory evolution, and propose countermeasures when issues arise.
  • Budgeting, Reporting & Communication: prepare, monitor and control budgets, prepare management reporting, and collaborate with stakeholders to enhance forecast accuracy.
  • Occasional travel internationally.


Requirements/Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience in demand planning/forecasting.
  • Experience with ERP software (ideally Dynamics NAV) and forecasting & inventory management software.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, coupled with strong analytical and statistic abilities.
