Job Description

We are proud to be recruiting an exciting new role for our client who specialises in distributing the finest food brands around the country! This role comes after a restructure of the team and will mean you would be joining at an exciting time of growth.

Initially based onsite, with hybrid working available after the initial period, this role would be focusing on managing supply planning across a portfolio of food brands while working to monitor and improve stock imbalances. This vital role will also include creating and maintaining detailed multi-level demand plans.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain and/or demand planning, with an analytical mindset. You will need to have strong time-management skills, problem solving skills and be able to work cross-functionally.

Responsibilities:

  • Support and deliver the Supply Chain objectives of the business strategy including supply planning, ordering, meeting the expected stock holding targets
  • Work collaboratively with suppliers to ensure orders are shipped correctly and timely to achieve continuity of supply of products always ensuring 99% stock availability.
  • In close co-operation with the Sales and Marketing teams, monitor and revise forecasts for your brands ensuring accuracy measures are met and continuously improved
  • Analyse trends and promotional volumes to make adjustments and recommendations where necessary
  • Working with SC Co-Ordinator's to arrange the importation of goods, collating and checking all documentation is present and correct.
  • Working with the Commercial team and Technical & Quality teams with regards to product life cycle, regulatory requirements and introducing new products to market.
  • Manage the ordering process, ensuring MOQ, Stock levels and delivery dates are all achieved.
  • Ensure orders are placed, acknowledged, products and pricing are confirmed within the target set by the business, reporting any pricing discrepancies to relevant departments.
  • Continuously monitor stock holding, working with the wider business to reduce residual inventory.
  • Manage ongoing supply and deal with any issues as they arise which affect availability of product. Communicating to the wider business of any issues.
  • Track and manage supplier performance through regular reviews and act where necessary if the supplier fails to hit the outlined KPIs and OTIF brief. Addressing any poor performance and escalating to Supply Chain Manager/Head of Supply Chain
  • Working with 3PL and Finance to deal with any delivery issues including damages, incorrect products, and payment related issues.
  • Monitoring and checking outstanding orders, ensuring all orders are updated and there are no overdue orders.
  • Working collaboratively and cross functionally across the wider business to improve operational performance.
  • Monthly reporting as required

Ideal experience:

  • Experience of Supply and/or Demand planning within a Supply Chain or Inventory Management role
  • Proven track record of improving OTIF shipments and stock availability
  • Good time management - being able to work to strict deadlines under pressure
  • Great problem-solving skills
  • Strong Relationship builder and ability to communicate effectively across all functions
  • Ability to challenge constructively and confidently
  • Strong numerical and analytical ability, analyse complex data, identify issues and explain variances and recommend solutions
  • Experience using Slimstock, PowerBI and similar software highly advantageous
