We are proud to be recruiting a new Buyer role for our client who is a leading manufacturer of building materials based in Northamptonshire. This role provides a brilliant opportunity to grow your experience in a strong team with a strong brand.

Based in Northampton, the role would be responsible for Millions of pounds of spend across direct and indirect categories, while creating tenders and managing stakeholders, suppliers and contract management. You would be getting involved in value-adding work and would be allowing you to improve your skills a lot.

The ideal candidate will have a high level of drive and hunger to improve, in addition to experience within direct and indirect spend in specific materials and categories.

The role is based in the office, with hybrid working potential after the initial period. The role comes with company car, 27 days holiday and 10% bonus!

Responsibilities:

• Support effective procurement of goods and services
• Identification, implementation and delivery of savings across categories
• Contract management, including service level agreements and contracts
• Full engagement with cross-functional stakeholders
• Building of strong supplier relationships and supplier relationship management
• Development of category knowledge
• Reporting of procurement activity, performance, compliance and savings

Ideal Candidate:

• 3+ Years experience as a Buyer
• Experience within Direct Spend (Raw Materials, such as cement, steel, aggregates etc)
• Desirable to also have experience within Indirect Spend (Vehicles, Forklifts and Crane hire)
• Demonstable track record of high performance

Details:

• £35,000-£45,000 depending on experience
• Circa 10% Bonus
• 27 days holiday + bank holidays
• Company Car + Fuel
