Macildowie Recruitment is excited to be working with our client to find a talented Recruitment & HR Officer to join their team.
Our client is an award-winning, family-run business dedicated to providing outstanding service to their clients. They offer fantastic food, rejuvenating treatments, and an array of spa and fitness facilities.
They have an amazing team of over 550 people, across 25 departments. Their dedicated staff is what makes the business such a success, and this role is integral to maintaining that success.
They are looking for a confident individual with a passion for working with people and building relationships to make a positive difference. This role involves taking ownership of recruitment processes as well as being involved in all aspects of the employee lifecycle.
You will act as an ambassador for the business, pro-actively promoting it as a great place to work locally, nationally, and internationally, attracting the best talent and ensuring a smooth onboarding process.
You will also work closely with Heads of Departments and employees, providing advice and support on all HR policies and procedures.
What the role involves:
- Managing end-to-end internal recruitment processes, collaborating with Heads of Departments on vacancies.
- Optimising recruitment-related material on the company website and social media to attract top candidates and generate ongoing interest in the company.
- Drafting job descriptions, creating engaging and innovative job adverts, and managing applications through the Applicant Tracking System.
- Managing when and how positions are advertised, both internally and externally.
- Researching new recruitment platforms and fostering relationships with recruitment agencies.
- Managing and growing the candidate database, creating and sending regular vacancy alerts.
- Attending job fairs, exhibitions, and competition events.
- Producing all new starter documentation, including offer letters and contracts of employment.
- Responding to candidate and employee queries.
- Providing HR support to Heads of Departments regarding performance, conduct, and wellbeing issues.
- Offering accurate and timely administrative support to other transactional HR processes.
- Generating HR reports using the HR Information System (HRIS).
- Troubleshooting basic system errors and responding to HRIS-related queries.
- Contributing to the ongoing development of HR projects, policies, and processes.
The ideal candidate:
- Proven recruitment experience, preferably within a hospitality environment (though not essential).
- Tenacious, creative, and organised, with strong prioritisation skills.
- An inquisitive mind and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong technological skills, including experience with an HRIS.
- Comfortable navigating social media platforms.
- A CIPD qualification would be advantageous but is not required.

Hours of Work:
- Working either 32 or 39 hours per week over 4 or 5 days, with working hours of Monday to Friday (9:00am-5:30pm).
