Location: Kettering / Hybrid
About the Role:
We're seeking an experienced and proactive HR Advisor to support the day-to-day operational aspects of the employee lifecycle across multiple sites. This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with managers and employees, delivering professional HR guidance and fostering a positive workplace environment. Key areas of focus include employee relations, recruitment, compliance, and employee engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Employee Relations: Provide expert advice and manage cases, including grievances, disciplinaries, and conflict resolution. Coach managers to effectively handle employee relations matters and ensure compliance with HR policies and employment law.
- Talent Development: Identify training needs, facilitate development programs, and deliver training on policies and procedures. Support employee career growth through reviews, coaching, and succession planning.
- Recruitment & Onboarding: Oversee the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, shortlisting, interviews, and onboarding. Collaborate on workforce planning to address staffing requirements.
- Employee Engagement: Drive initiatives to foster a positive work culture, conduct engagement surveys, and implement actions to enhance morale and satisfaction.
- Absence Management: Monitor attendance and support managers with interventions to manage absenteeism.
- Health & Wellbeing: Partner with Health & Safety teams to ensure compliance and champion initiatives that promote employee well-being and mental health.
- Offboarding: Manage exit processes, conduct exit interviews, and provide feedback to enhance retention strategies.
- Project Support: Contribute to strategic HR projects aimed at improving operational efficiency and overall service delivery.
What We're Looking For:
- A seasoned HR professional with at least 5 years of generalist experience, ideally within manufacturing or a similar environment.
- A strong understanding of UK employment law, with proven experience in employee relations, performance management, and recruitment.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Familiarity with HR systems (e.g., iTrent) and intermediate proficiency in Excel.
- CIPD Level 5 qualification (or equivalent) is preferred.
- A collaborative and solutions-focused mindset, capable of managing competing priorities and maintaining confidentiality.
