Macildowie are delighted to be working with a brilliant Public Sector organisation based in Northamptonshire on an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR professional to hit the ground running as a Senior HR Advisor on a permanent basis.

Job Purpose:

  • Provide high-quality, confidential HR support to employees at all levels.
  • Offer professional advice on performance management and employee relations.
  • Align HR activities with the organisations culture and values.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Partnering: Work with the HR Manager to align HR initiatives with business goals, ensuring HR strategies support the overall direction and objectives of the organisation.
  • HR Lead in Absence: Act as the HR lead in the absence of the HR Manager, providing leadership and continuity in HR operations.
  • Timely Advice: Provide sound and timely advice on all employee relations matters.
  • Support to HR Advisors: Provide support, advice, and guidance to HR Advisors on various employee relations queries they may encounter or need to follow up on.
  • Complex Cases: Serve as the primary contact for handling and resolving complex HR cases within your area of responsibility, offering expertise and support.
  • Support to Line Managers: Work closely with HR Advisors and Coordinators to offer clear HR advice and coaching to line and department managers on day-to-day HR management.
  • People Initiatives: Collaborate with the HR Manager and Group Head of HR on people initiatives to ensure the organisation reaches its strategic goals.
  • Workplace Culture: Foster a positive workplace culture through effective management of employee relations, including handling investigations, disciplinary actions, capability issues, and performance management.
  • Restructuring and Redundancies: Manage restructuring and redundancy processes according to policy, providing all necessary administrative support to line management and employees.
  • HR Projects: Support the HR team in working on various HR projects, contributing to the success of these initiatives.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:

  • CIPD Level 5 or equivalent experience, or willingness to work towards it
  • Experienced in Employee Relations
  • Case management experience with a busy caseload
  • Practical knowledge of current employment legislation and policy application
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Ability to build professional relationships and take responsibility

This role is offering a salary up to c£38,000 per annum and also offers an excellent benefits package, which includes 35 days annual leave (including Public Holidays), hybrid working and access to a generous pension scheme to name a few.
