HR Business Partner
Northampton
Salary: £40-45k
Employment Type: Full-time, 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

Macildowie are working with a leading business in Northampton who are dedicated to fostering a dynamic and inclusive work environment where every team member can thrive. They are looking for a talented HR Business Partner to join their team on a 12 month FTC basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborative HR Service Delivery:
    • Work with HR Business Partners and Senior HR Business Partners to provide a full and comprehensive operational HR service.
    • Develop manager capability and maintain an excellent HR customer brand.
  2. HR Initiatives Implementation:
    • Implement key HR initiatives around talent and succession planning, performance management, reward, wellness, engagement, policy changes, resourcing, and organisational effectiveness.
  3. HR Metrics Analysis:
    • Track and analyse HR metrics and management information, providing recommendations for improvement.
  4. Change Management Support:
    • Assist in delivering change management and business improvement programs to optimize performance and enhance employee engagement.
  5. Employee Relations Management:
    • Work with the case management provider to proactively handle employee relation matters and intervene in high-risk cases to protect the business reputation.
  6. Training and Development:
    • Develop and deliver training on HR-related matters to equip managers with the necessary skills and knowledge.
  7. HR Systems Management:
    • Update, maintain, and promote HR systems to enhance service delivery.
  8. Recruitment Support:
    • Collaborate with the recruitment team to support all recruitment activities, ensuring timely response and delivery.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Required:

  • Ideally part or fully CIPD qualified.
  • Broad generalist HR experience including managing relationships, performance management, knowledge of current UK employment legislation, employee relations, TUPE, redundancies, and restructures.
  • Knowledge of change management and the ability to assist with large inter-departmental projects.
  • Business and commercial awareness.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • High-level interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships and influence change.
  • Ability to analyse and interpret key HR metrics and management information to diagnose issues.
  • A continuous learning attitude to develop skills for future succession planning.

Communications and Working Relationships:

Internal:

  • Advise all employees on individual HR matters.
  • Build manager capability and support management teams on restructures.
  • Liaise with Areas of Expertise within the wider HR team for effective execution of people solutions.
  • Provide full operational support to HR Business Partners for each business area.

External:

  • Network and benchmark activities with Ricoh Europe.
  • Seek employment law advice from legal advisors.
  • Network with HR professionals.

Scope for Impact:

The HR Business Partner will work closely with Senior HR Business Partners to deliver exceptional service aligned with business objectives and people strategy. They will support the business across all areas, maintain effective business relationships with line managers, and keep up to date with developments in employment legislation and HR best practices. They will act as a champion for good people management practices, support the implementation of transformation projects, and ensure efficient and effective changes with minimal risk to the business.
