Job Description

Macildowie is delighted to be working exclusively with a prestigious public sector organisation based in Nottinghamshire to appoint an Associate Director of HR to oversee and guide transformation projects.

The role is for an initial period of 6 months is paying up to £70k full-time equivalent salary, with hybrid working with the expectation of 2-3 days on site a week.

This pivotal role is involves overseeing strategic and operational HR service provision for major change programs. Collaborating closely with the Director of HR, this role will shape change-related HR policies, streamline processes, and drive improvements, marking a significant contribution to the organisation's success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead strategic approaches to people-related change, partnering with leaders and stakeholders to deliver solutions aligned with organisation's goals.
  • Provide strategic HR insight using a proactive HR business partnering model to support major change programs effectively.
  • Cultivate effective relationships with leaders, identify key stakeholders, and provide high-quality HR guidance on complex staffing issues.
  • Drive engagement and communication strategies ensuring clear and effective messaging on change initiatives.
  • Establish and lead the HR Change team, providing inspirational leadership and fostering teamwork and accountability.
  • Mentor individuals, provide constructive feedback, and encourage reflective thinking to maximise team potential.
  • Collaborate with others, focusing on overall system performance and conflict resolution when necessary.
  • Utilise project management skills to manage resources effectively and maintain accurate record-keeping of HRBP activities for data analysis.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Proven extensive experience in HRBP roles with deep knowledge of HR processes.
  • Successful track record in leading institutional change management.
  • Substantial management experience in a large, complex organisation.
  • In-depth understanding of people change management and associated HR processes.
