Macildowie are working with this client based in Milton Keynes to recruit an experienced Cashier for a 12-month maternity cover contract, with the opportunity for a temp-to-perm transition.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established professional services firm, working in a busy and high-performing finance function.
Salary: Up to £15 per hour (Dependent on experience)
Type: Fixed-Term Contract (12 months), Temp to Perm
Working Pattern: Hybrid (3-5 days in office depending on experience)
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week (9am - 5.30pm, 1-hour lunch break)
The Role:
This position forms a vital part of the firm's finance team, reporting into the Senior Cashier. You will be responsible for:
- Managing day-to-day bank transactions and client account completions
- Handling client funds with precision, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Liaising regularly with banks, auditors, fee earners, and other internal stakeholders
- Processing staff expenses, managing the purchase ledger and supplier invoicing
- Coding invoices and maintaining the finance inbox
- Posting transactions using the 3E finance system
What we're looking for:
- Previous experience in a finance function, ideally within legal or professional services
- High level of attention to detail and ability to thrive under pressure
- Excellent initiative and communication skills
- Familiarity with partnership accounts is advantageous
- A full UK driving licence is essential
