Assistant Accountant - Permanent - Rugby - up to £35,000 per annum

Macildowie Finance are seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Accountant to join the finance team a growing, dynamic logistics business in Rugby. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to develop their career and be mentored by experienced professionals in a supportive, progressive environment.

You will be working alongside a supportive team where learning and growth are key. This role is perfect for someone who is eager to learn, and happy to support senior staff with more strategic accounting functions.

You will be involved in:

• Month end responsibilities: journals, accruals, prepayments, reconciliations
• Assisting on balance sheet reconciliations
• Supporting on bank reconciliations, debtors & creditors
• Supporting the Financial Controller on preparation of budgets & forecasts

What we're looking for:

• Someone eager to learn and grow within the field of accounting
• An individual who is proactive and willing to take on transactional tasks to free up senior team members for more strategic work
• No formal qualifications required we're open to QBE (Qualified by Experience) candidates
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
• The ideal candidate will be someone looking for mentorship and long-term progression, with the opportunity to develop into a more senior role in 2-3 years
