Location: Derby (Hybrid: 2 days in office, 3 days remote)
Salary: £30,000 - £32,000

The Opportunity
This is a brilliant role for a payroll professional with proven end-to-end payroll experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will take ownership of the payroll function, ensuring it runs smoothly and meets all compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • End-to-End Payroll Processing: Manage the complete payroll cycle for a varied workforce, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
  • Compliance & Legislation: Stay up-to-date with UK payroll legislation, including PAYE, National Insurance, and pension contributions, ensuring full compliance.
  • Employee Queries: Act as the main point of contact for payroll-related queries, providing clear and efficient support.
  • Data Integrity: Maintain accurate payroll records, processing employee changes, new starters, and leavers with precision.
  • Systems & Reporting: Leverage payroll software to its full potential, generating detailed reports for finance and management.

Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Payroll Administrator who can hit the ground running and deliver with confidence and accuracy.

Requirements:

  • Essential: Proven track record of managing end-to-end payroll processes.
  • Solid understanding of UK payroll legislation, including tax codes, statutory payments, and pensions auto-enrolment.
  • Experience using payroll software and advanced proficiency in Excel.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive information with discretion.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle queries effectively.
  • Comfortable working in a hybrid setup (2 days in-office, 3 days remote).
