Accounts Manager - South Leicestershire - Permanent

Macildowie are supporting a logistics business based in South Leicestershire who are looking for an Accounts Manager to join their finance team on a permanent basis.


This family ran business has a long history within the industry, and currently have turnover of circa £40 million.


This vacancy is ideal for someone who has a wealth of experience working within accounts, is familiar with the day-to-day running of an accounts function, and ideally has some experience in line management as you will be responsible for 3 members of the finance team.


The position will be office based, but there may be the opportunity to work on a more hybrid basis after initial onboarding/probation.


Some of the key responsibilities include:

  • Daily management of finance function
  • Monitoring of bank accounts
  • Monthly VAT submission
  • Ensuring invoice reconciliations
  • Managing business expenses
  • Supporting Third Party Accountants
  • Line management of 3 transactional finance staff

The ideal candidate will be/have:

  • Experience working within an accounts function
  • Excellent Excel skills
  • Experience in Sage 50 ideally
  • Line management experience would be desirable
