Job Title: Purchase Ledger Clerk (6-Month FTC)
Salary: £25,000 per annum (pro-rata)
Location: Burton Upon Trent, Full-Time, Office-Based
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week
Contract Type: Fixed-Term Contract (FTC) - 6 months, with an Immediate Start

About the Role
As a Purchase Ledger Clerk, you'll be a vital part of the finance team, supporting accurate and efficient financial processing. This role is perfect for an individual with strong attention to detail and a proactive approach, ready to make an immediate impact. You'll take responsibility for managing the purchase ledger process, ensuring timely and accurate payment processing and supplier management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Processing high volumes of invoices and handling end-to-end purchase ledger duties
- Ensuring accuracy and compliance in coding, matching, and entering invoices
- Liaising with suppliers to resolve any discrepancies or issues
- Managing reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records
- Assisting with month-end processes as required by the finance team
About You
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- Previous experience in a purchase ledger or accounts payable role
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office (Excel essential)
- Strong communication skills to work effectively with suppliers and internal teams
- A proactive attitude and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
