Management Accountant

  • Warwick (Hybrid - 2 days in the office / 3 days working from home; free parking onsite)
  • Above Market Average Salary

Our prestigious, professional services client are seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join their Finance team, to provide essential support for monthly reporting requirements and deliver detailed management insights. This role has a strong business analysis component, enabling you to help the firm monitor and improve KPI performance.

The Role:

As Management Accountant, you will play a crucial role in the finance team, managing monthly reports, preparing financial accounts, and supporting various stakeholders. This position offers the opportunity to influence and streamline processes, enhancing the accuracy and utility of financial data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monthly Reporting: Prepare and analyze key firm statistics
  • Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, budgets, and other financial reports.
  • Database Maintenance: Manage our database, including new starter setups, weekly reporting, and charge-out rate updates.
  • Variance Analysis: Report and analyze variances in prime overhead departments quarterly, and conduct regular overhead reviews.
  • Transaction Control: Oversee transactions to ensure accurate VAT treatment and handle VAT returns.
  • Balance Sheet Management: Manage various balance sheet tasks, improving the company's cash forecasting.
  • Additional Finance Tasks: Handle ad hoc tasks such as rental invoices and daily cash balance reports.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Either part of fully qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA or CICM).
  • Expertise in accounting practices, commercial models, and key financial drivers.
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong experience with finance systems.
  • Business analysis proficiency, with the ability to transform data into knowledge.
  • Team leadership experience, with strong people management skills.
