Macildowie Finance are working with a highly successful manufacturing business based in South Leicestershire who are looking for an all-round Accounts Manager to join their family owned business.


This role will be responsible for the end to end accounting for the business with support from an external accounting firm with a strong emphasis on both weekly and monthly payroll.


Responsibilities will include:

  • Processing of Sales and Purchase Ledger invoices within Sage. Managing relationships with customers and suppliers.
  • Credit control.
  • Payroll administration - ensuring payroll is processed in a timely and accurate manner for final completion by the external accountants. Payroll will include weekly, monthly and bonus calculations.
  • VAT/PAYE Calculations.
  • Bank reconciliations on a daily basis.
  • Production of the management accounts up to trial balance, for completion by the external Accountants.


To be considered for this role you must be/have:

  • A keen eye for detail and experience of operating in a rounded SME Accountant's role.
  • Confident ability and experience in weekly & monthly payroll (knowledge of aspects such as maternity pay etc would be advantageous)
  • Strong communication skills ability to communicate across all levels & departments


This role can be flexible around the part time hours, but presence must be in the office for at least Monday Wednesday. The salary on offer for this role is up to circa £35,000 FTE.
