Payroll Clerk - Melton
Location: Melton
Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum
Working Arrangement: Fully Office-Based
We are currently recruiting for a Payroll Clerk to join a reputable business based in Melton. This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented payroll professional with experience in Sage Payroll or SAGE 50.
The Role:
As a Payroll Clerk, you'll be responsible for overseeing the payroll function, ensuring that all employee payments are processed accurately and on time. You'll manage everything from employee data updates to statutory deductions, playing a key role in the company's finance team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Processing weekly and monthly payrolls with precision.
- Managing employee records, including new starters, leavers, and salary changes.
- Handling statutory deductions such as tax and National Insurance.
- Submitting RTI reports to HMRC in a timely manner.
- Resolving payroll-related queries from employees and providing excellent support.
- Ensuring payroll practices comply with current legislation and company policies.
What You'll Need:
- Experience with Sage Payroll or SAGE 50 is a must.
- Proven experience in a payroll role, with a solid understanding of payroll processes and UK payroll legislation.
- High attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all payroll activities.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with both employees and the finance team
