Credit Controller
Job Description
Job Title: Credit Controller (Including Accounts Assistant Responsibilities)
Location: Kettering, Northamptonshire
Salary: Up to £30,000 for the right candidate - Company Bonus Scheme!
Type: Permanent - Hybrid working available - Up to two days working from home
Working Hours: Monday to Friday - 1 hour lunch - Flexible Hours - 37.5 hours a week

- Regular Company Social Events - Last year the business took the finance team to Marbella for 3 nights (all food/drinks and expenses paid for)
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments and on boarding of new clients.
- Regularly review current customers and suggest necessary credit limit changes.
- Examine accounts filed at Companies House for existing clients, adjusting credit limits and payment terms as needed.
- Prepare and send out sales invoices and credit notes.
- Follow up on overdue payments from customers.
- Resolve customer queries.
- Send duplicate invoices and monthly statements.
- Keep customer ledgers up-to-date.
- Participate in weekly meetings focused on debtors.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly rebates for customers when applicable.
Job could expand in the future to include:
- Posting daily bank receipts and payments.
- Performing bank reconciliations.
- Assisting the Head of Finance with month-end reports.
Key Skills and Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and keen attention to detail.
- Highly organised with the ability to prioritise work effectively.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
