Job Description

Job Title: Credit Controller (Including Accounts Assistant Responsibilities)

Location: Kettering, Northamptonshire

Salary: Up to £30,000 for the right candidate - Company Bonus Scheme!

Type: Permanent - Hybrid working available - Up to two days working from home

Working Hours: Monday to Friday - 1 hour lunch - Flexible Hours - 37.5 hours a week

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments and on boarding of new clients.
  • Regularly review current customers and suggest necessary credit limit changes.
  • Examine accounts filed at Companies House for existing clients, adjusting credit limits and payment terms as needed.
  • Prepare and send out sales invoices and credit notes.
  • Follow up on overdue payments from customers.
  • Resolve customer queries.
  • Send duplicate invoices and monthly statements.
  • Keep customer ledgers up-to-date.
  • Participate in weekly meetings focused on debtors.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly rebates for customers when applicable.

Job could expand in the future to include:

  • Posting daily bank receipts and payments.
  • Performing bank reconciliations.
  • Assisting the Head of Finance with month-end reports.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and keen attention to detail.
  • Highly organised with the ability to prioritise work effectively.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
