Job Description
Job Title: Credit Controller
Location: Kettering, Northamptonshire
Salary: £28,000 to £30,000 - dependent on experience
Type: Permanent
Working Hours: Monday to Friday - 1 hour lunch - Flexible Hours - 37.5 hours a week

Job Description:
As a Credit Controller, you will play a crucial role in the Finance team, focusing on Accounts Receivable and Credit Control. Your responsibilities will include:
- Raising customer invoices, including consolidated ones with supporting reports.
- Reviewing bank statements and posting cash to the sales ledger.
- Chasing overdue debt and maintaining correspondence records.
- Handling invoice queries and liaising with teams for resolution.
- Following the company process for overdue balances, including issuing formal letters before solicitor involvement.
- Setting up new customers on Sage, completing application forms, and conducting internal checks.
- Conducting credit checks on customers and adjusting credit limits as per company policies.
- Reviewing credit insurance for customers and requesting changes to cover limits as necessary.
- Providing information and reports on accounts receivable balances, overdue invoices, and queries.
Key Skills and Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and keen attention to detail.
- Highly organised with the ability to prioritise work effectively.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
