Job Advert: Credit Controller

Location: Leicester (with one day per week travel to Grantham)

Salary: Up to £30,000 per annum

Employment Type: Full-time, Office-based

About the Company: We are a leading independent retreader in Europe, specialising in the production of high-quality OTR and truck retread tyres. Our commitment to excellence extends to providing effective and practical fleet management solutions for our customers across the UK and Europe.

Role Overview: We are seeking a diligent and proactive Credit Controller to join their finance team in Leicester. This role requires a keen eye for detail and excellent communication skills to manage and maintain our credit accounts efficiently. The position involves one day per week of travel to our Grantham office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing and overseeing customer credit accounts.
  • Conducting credit checks on new customers.
  • Ensuring timely collection of outstanding invoices.
  • Reconciling complex accounts and ensuring accuracy.
  • Handling queries related to invoicing and payments.
  • Working closely with internal departments to resolve customer issues.
  • Preparing regular reports on credit status and outstanding debts.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Credit Controller or in a similar role.
  • Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Reliable and able to travel to Grantham one day per week.
