Accounts Payable Clerk

Location: Derby
Type: Temporary-Ongoing (Potential for Permanent Position)
Hours: Full-Time
Hourly Rate: Up to £12.82 per hour (Dependent on Experience)
Hybrid Working: Available after initial 2-week training period (3 days in the office, 2 days at home, with Wednesdays as an essential office day)

About the Company:

As they expand, they are seeking a dedicated Accounts Payable Clerk to join their team on a temporary-ongoing basis, with the potential for this role to become permanent.

Role Overview:

As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will be a vital part of the finance team, ensuring that the accounts are managed efficiently and accurately. While prior experience in Accounts Payable (AP) is beneficial, it is not essential. We are looking for someone who is eager to learn, enthusiastic, and ready to contribute to the success of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing supplier invoices and expense claims accurately and efficiently
  • Reconciling supplier statements and managing payment runs
  • Resolving invoice and payment queries in a timely manner
  • Assisting with month-end closing processes
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records

Requirements:

  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
