About the Role:
Macildowie are representing a dynamic and growing business in Thurmaston that is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Finance Assistant. This company operates in the land, building, and valuations surveying sector and offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated finance professional.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Finance Assistant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of the company. Your primary duties will include:

• Sales Ledger: Managing the sales ledger, including raising invoices, posting payments, and reconciling accounts to ensure accuracy.
• Purchase Ledger: Handling the purchase ledger by processing supplier invoices, preparing payment runs, and reconciling supplier statements.
• Credit Control: Conducting credit control activities to ensure timely payment of invoices, managing debtors, and resolving any queries or disputes.
• System Management: Utilising Sage 50 to perform all financial tasks, ensuring that all data is accurately recorded and maintained.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a similar finance role, with a strong understanding of sales ledger, purchase ledger, and credit control.
• Proficiency in using Sage 50 is essential.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
