We are seeking a talented Accountant to join our clients growing finance team based in Kettering. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing financial insights, analysis, and support to assist in driving the company's strategic goals and operational efficiency.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Assistant Management Accountant will be responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and providing actionable recommendations to senior management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
• Analyse financial performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying key variances and trends.
• Collaborate with department heads to develop and monitor departmental budgets and KPIs.
• Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis and provide insights to support strategic initiatives and business decisions.
• Assist in the preparation of annual financial statements and liaise with auditors as required.
• Continuously evaluate and improve financial processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Experience:

• You will ideally be studying either AAT/CIMA/ACCA
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
