Legal Cashier (Maternity Cover)

Role Description:
We are seeking a skilled Legal Cashier to cover a fixed-term maternity leave for a period of 9 months. This full-time role (9am-5pm) is entirely office-based, offering an exciting opportunity to contribute to this team's success. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial integrity of operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day financial transactions, including processing client and office account transactions.
• Ensure compliance with Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) principles and legal accounting standards.
• Reconcile bank accounts and manage petty cash.
• Process payments, receipts, and bills promptly and accurately.
• Assist with month-end procedures and financial reporting.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth financial operations.

Requirements:

• Prior experience as a Legal Cashier or within accounts in the legal sector is essential.
• Sound knowledge of Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) principles and legal accounting standards.
• Familiarity with the 'Partner for Windows' system would be advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial tasks.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Start Date:
We are looking for the successful candidate to start in April 2024.

Salary:
The salary for this position is up to £30,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
