Job Description

Our esteemed client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join their team on an immediate basis. This role presents an exciting opportunity for individuals looking to further their career in finance within a supportive environment. While preference will be given to full-time candidates, our client is open to considering flexible arrangements to accommodate childcare needs and other commitments.

Job Title: Accounts Assistant

Salary: £23,000 - £28,000 per annum (Based on experience)

Working style: Full time - Based in Office

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with day-to-day accounting tasks, including accounts receivable and accounts payable functions.
  • Process invoices, expense claims, and other financial transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Reconcile bank statements and maintain accurate records of financial transactions.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparation of financial reports.
  • Collaborate with team members to streamline processes and improve efficiency within the finance department.
  • Handle ad-hoc administrative tasks as assigned by the Finance Manager.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Previous experience in an accounting or finance (sales ledger) role is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software is advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies.
  • A proactive attitude and a willingness to take on additional responsibilities as needed.
