Credit Controller (Temporary)

Location: Nottingham City Centre

Company: A reputable legal services business based in Nottingham City Centre is seeking a skilled Credit Controller to join their team on a temporary basis for 3 months.

Salary: Equivalent to £25,000 per annum

Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm (1-hour lunch break), fully office-based.

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Credit Controller to join this dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the credit control function within the business, ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts while maintaining positive relationships with clients. This is a temporary role for 3 months, offering an exciting opportunity to contribute to the organisation's financial stability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Chase outstanding debts via telephone, email, and letter.
  • Allocate payments and maintain accurate records of all transactions.
  • Negotiate payment plans with clients as necessary.
  • Liaise with internal departments to resolve any billing queries.
  • Provide regular updates on debtors' status to management.
  • Assist in the preparation of month-end reports.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience within Credit Control.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • A DBS check will be required for this role.
