Our esteemed client is actively seeking a skilled Credit Controller to join their finance team. Whilst having previous Credit Controller experience is desired, our clients are also open to anyone who is willing to learn the role and kick-start the career in Finance.

Job Title: Credit Controller
Location: Derby, Derbyshire
Type: Full-time/Permanent

Salary: £26,000 per annum

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct efficient cash collection to enhance cash flow.
• Manage sales ledger accounts effectively.
• Record all communications using a specialised collections system.
• Provide weekly collections forecasting.
• Conduct risk analysis and liaise regularly with the sales team.
• Solve problems related to complex reconciliations.
• Work towards and meet given targets.
• Monitor over-trading and manage credit limits.
• Provide holiday cover for team members.
• Log and address queries, handle banking responsibilities.
• Fulfil other duties as assigned by the line manager.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Demonstrated high-level written and numerical literacy.
• Strong negotiation skills, ability to work under pressure.
• Clear communication of financial matters.
• Desirable: studying towards CICM Level 3, CICM studies are supported.
