Job Description
Accounts Assistant / £26,000 - £30,000 / Leamington Spa / Full-Time, Permanent
Hybrid Working (3-4 days from home): on office days you can leave at 5/5:30pm and log back in once at home
Working hours: 12pm-8pm ideally, however this is flexible

Macildowie are exclusively partnered with a highly successful client based in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire, who are recruiting for a VERY unique and exciting position as an Accounts Assistant. You will be reporting to the Head of Finance, who has stated that this opportunity can lead to even more exciting opportunities moving forwards (especially if you like to travel)! Whilst this company offer a flexible hybrid working model, you are welcome to come into the office on any day you wish to.
Day-to-day responsibilities:
- Invoice and cash receipt processing - onto SAGE
- Managing and maintenance of the ledgers and cashbook
- Support the Head of Finance and Finance Manager with supplying information for month end deadlines
- Provide accurate and timely production of the monthly management accounts in a timely manner (within three days)
- Providing information to and liaising with external auditors
- Prioritisation of requests from Sales and Operations teams
- Oversee the Credit Control and cash management functions for overseas
- Manage administrative elements of the company Payroll function (which you will be trained in)
What we need from you:
- It is key that you have a strong understanding of the difference between credits and debits
- Organisation and time management skills, with the ability to hit deadlines consistently
- It is highly advantageous if you already have both Credit Control and Accounts Payable knowledge; or one or the other
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential - must be able to communicate with all levels of business both internally and externally
- Ability to use Excel to a good standard (V-lookups, pivot table knowledge would be great)
- Sage experience is advantageous
