Job Description

Position: Accounts Assistant

Salary: £25,000 - £30,000

Location: Leamington Spa, Warwickshire

Duration: Full-time, Permanent (although we will consider reduced daily hours for any family commitments)

Macildowie are pleased to be exclusively partnered with a unique client in the Royal Leamington Spa area, which has an outstanding company culture, and are bringing on-board an experienced Accounts Assistant to their small, stable Finance team. Culturally our client encourages a very flat structure: everyone gets involved when needed, there is complete respect across the board to all employees, and community is extremely important to the business!

In this role, you will be responsible for assisting your new team with the accurate delivery of financial information by providing your administrative expertise. We are happy to consider candidates who solely have Purchase Ledger experience as well as experienced Accounts Assistants. You do not have to be an MS Excel expert for this role - in fact this is something this company is looking to move away from!

Responsibilities:

  • Processing of purchase invoices, employee expenses and credits
  • Supplier statement and Bank reconciliations
  • Dealing with supplier queries via phone and email
  • Managing supplier data on the internal system
  • Payment runs (weekly)
  • Sales Ledger maintenance
  • Processing documentation, and general ad hoc Admin duties

Desirable and essential requirements:

  • Previous Accounts/Financial software experience (Netsuite experience is desirable but not essential - although it can justify a higher salary level)
  • Prior experience in an Accounts-related role
  • Meticulous way of working with good common sense
  • Efficient and organised both digitally and personally
  • Willingness to speak out and recommend positive change
  • Modestly confident with a personable persona, good humoured and trustworthy

If this role/company sounds like it could be an improvement on your current situation and you are interested in a call to discuss the opportunity, please apply as soon as possible so you don't miss out!

Please put your home postcode on your CV when applying. Our recruitment tech uses this to make sure your CV is reviewed by the relevant consultant, for the relevant job(s), in the relevant geography.
