Job Description
Position: Payroll Assistant Manager
Location: Leamington Spa, Warwickshire
Salary: £30,000 - £33,000
Duration: Full-time, Permanent
Holidays: 26 days + bank holidays
Macildowie are pleased to be partnered with a rapidly growing and employee-centric company based in Leamington Spa, who are adding an experienced Payroll professional to the HR/Finance function. You will be tasked with the responsibility of assisting the Payroll team in ensuring that the Payroll is processed in a precise, timely manner, whilst ensuring the togetherness and efficiency of the team.

Responsibilities:
- Ensure that the Payroll balances accurately by correcting any irregularities, creation of journal entries, auditing information etc.
- Accurately run the monthly Payroll including payments to HMRC
- Offer yearly budgeting information, monitor expenditures, identify variances etc.
- Offer support when team members are on annual leave or during extremely busy seasonal workloads
- Assess and supervise your direct reports, and initiate team meetings (on a monthly basis or as often as necessary)
- Produce pension data on a monthly basis and submit the data to any external providers
- Guide and share knowledge with your team members, as well as ensure they obtain the required skills and personal development requirements
What we need from you:
- Strong experience within Payroll and with people management
- A willingness to mentor and coach people, as well as potential to improve processes where necessary
- Excellent comprehension of sometimes complex correspondence (instructions, memos etc.)
- Ability to effectively forward information to both individuals and small groups of internal and external stakeholders
- Maintain fantastic relationships with senior Management, Operations, Payroll team, Site Managers, Pension Scheme Providers, HMRC contacts and more
