JOB DESCRIPTION

SUMMARY: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Finance Manager/Management Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting Senior Management to achieve company strategic objectives. The role involves business partnering with department heads, actively managing costs, and ensuring the effective and efficient functioning of the finance department. The ideal candidate will be proactive, possess strong analytical skills, and have a proven track record in financial management.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Management Accounts/Boards Packs: Produce accurate and timely management accounts and board packs in line with parent company MBH deadlines.
  • Business Partnering: Collaborate with Sales, Service, and Shop managers, providing insights into performance and offering advice to enhance overall results.
  • Cash Flow Forecasting: Understand the business and industry dynamics, actively forecasting cash flow and managing working capital, including control of New/Used stock funding lines with finance lenders.
  • Stock Monitoring: Monthly monitoring and reconciliation of Caravans and Motorhomes stock.
  • Debt Management: Review and analyse ageing debtors weekly, ensuring timely chasing of overdue debtors.
  • Financial Operations: Oversee Sales Ledger, Purchase Ledger, and Payroll functions.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for enhancing finance processes and systems, working closely with department heads to implement improvements.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead budget setting and in-year reforecasting processes.
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Perform all Balance Sheet reconciliations, including payroll, VAT, and maintenance of the fixed asset register.
  • Audit Support: Collaborate with auditors by providing necessary information, analytical reviews, lead schedules, and asset registers.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

Specific:

  • ACCA / ACA / CIMA qualified.
  • 3+ years PQE with proven experience in finance.
  • Business Partnering expertise, ability to communicate financial data using non-financial jargon.
  • Significant experience in month/year-end processes and dealing with auditors.
  • Strong IT abilities, including proficiency in all Microsoft business applications.
