Business Liaison Officer - Calling all recent graduates!

📍 Location: Nottingham City Centre
💰 Salary: £25,400 per annum
📄 Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent (40 hours per week)
Contract: 6 months with potential to go perm

About the Role

A business-focused organisation in Nottingham is seeking a Business Liaison Officer to engage with city centre businesses, build strong relationships, and promote initiatives that enhance the local economy. This role involves regular face-to-face engagement with businesses, sharing key updates, gathering feedback, and supporting events and marketing campaigns.

This is a field-based role requiring frequent outdoor work across Nottingham city centre in all weather conditions. Flexibility is essential, as occasional evening and weekend work may be required to support events and activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of approximately 130 businesses, conducting monthly in-person visits.
  • Share information on marketing campaigns, initiatives, and services.
  • Maintain accurate records of interactions using a CRM database.
  • Organize and present at networking talks for local businesses.
  • Assist with event setup, marketing material distribution, and public engagement.
  • Represent the organization professionally at all times while working with business owners, partners, and stakeholders.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in customer service, sales, or business engagement.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to have difficult conversations.
  • Ability to work independently while effectively managing multiple projects.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • A proactive and results-driven approach with a strong ability to meet performance targets.
  • Passion for supporting local businesses and contributing to the growth of Nottingham's city centre.
