Fleet Administrator
Job Description
The ideal candidate will have experience in fleet administration, vehicle maintenance tracking, and supplier management, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Working Hours: 8:30am - 5:00pm (Monday to Friday).
Salary: £25,000 - £28,000
Please note that this role is a full-time, on-site position.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain accurate records of fleet vehicles, including licensing, insurance, MOT, and service schedules
- Coordinate vehicle maintenance and repairs with internal teams and external suppliers
- Monitor fleet performance, ensuring all vehicles are compliant with safety and legal requirements
- Process fleet-related documentation, including tax, insurance, and registration details
- Liaise with suppliers and service providers to ensure timely servicing and maintenance of vehicles
- Assist with fleet budgeting, cost tracking, and reporting
- Track and manage vehicle usage, fuel consumption, and operational costs
- Provide administrative support to the fleet management team
- Assist with the coordination of fleet vehicles for scheduled jobs or client deliveries
- Handle any fleet-related enquiries and support drivers with vehicle-related issues
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- Previous experience in fleet administration or a similar role
- Strong knowledge of fleet management systems and vehicle compliance regulations
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Experience with vehicle maintenance scheduling and supplier management
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and improving processes
- Experience in the transport or logistics sector is advantageous
