About the role

The role will involve working day to day with the separate Client and Matter Inception team to resolve client due diligence, conflict and other risk escalations and liaising with partners, fee earners and staff members firm wide. You will be using trusted sources of information in connection with the review of new business, including on client due diligence and risk assessment, and identifying and facilitating resolution of conflicts of interest and confidential information issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working as a member of the Risk and Compliance Team
  • Working with the Client and Matter Inception Team
  • Resolving escalated conflicts issues
  • Conducting and reviewing the AML (client due diligence) risk reports, identifying any issues and escalating these where appropriate

Your skills and qualifications

  • The successful candidate will ideally have a minimum of two years' previous experience of working as a CDD, risk and conflicts analyst at a law firm or in a professional or financial services environment. They must have a willingness also to engage with procedures and to become a point of contact on all client onboarding queries with the ability either to resolve them or refer them appropriately.

In addition they will meet the following requirements:

  • Strong organisational skills and be willing to participate as part of a multitasking team. They will also have strong analytical, written and communication skills;
  • They must be able to demonstrate high levels of drive, determination and focus. They must possess the ability to follow instruction and be able to work and communicate with clients and colleagues at all levels; and
  • It is essential that the candidate will have an eye for detail and the ability to act positively, creatively and intuitively when presented with challenges. There is a high volume of work and the job holder will be expected to take responsibility for completing tasks, work diligently and be able to prioritise their work.
