Job Description

Job Title: Export Administrator

Location: Ilkeston, Office-Based

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Job Summary: My client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Export Administrator to join their team in Ilkeston. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating the export process, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations, and providing exceptional administrative support to the export department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and process export documentation, including invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin.
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and customs brokers to ensure timely and accurate shipment of goods.
  • Monitor and track shipments, providing updates to customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate records of all export transactions and documentation.
  • Assist in resolving any issues or discrepancies related to export shipments.
  • Provide administrative support to the export team, including scheduling meetings, preparing reports, and managing correspondence.
  • Liaise with customers to provide information and support regarding export orders and shipments.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in export administration or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of international trade regulations and export documentation.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in handling documentation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
