Exciting Opportunity for an Information Officer!

8-hour shift | Flexitime | Monday to Friday | Office Based

An incredible position awaits the next Information Officer, a role where they become the beacon of support and guidance for households in crisis. In this engaging and impactful role, the individual will use their stellar communication skills, both written and verbal, to connect with people and help them find solutions. Managing difficult conversations will be a breeze for someone with confidence and experience in delivering welfare-focused interventions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a professional and responsive service, leaving a lasting impact.
  • Advise clients on benefit claims and potential grants, making a real difference.
  • Support on housing issues, ensuring a positive impact on people's lives.
  • Maintain high standards of case recording, showcasing the outcomes and details of vice, actions, and closure.
  • Refer clients to other agencies for specialised help when needed.
  • Keep records confidential, safe, and accessible for future retrieval.
  • Embrace a non-judgemental approach, fostering a positive and inclusive environment.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Take on tasks within the post's scope to ensure effective service delivery and development.
  • Abide by health and safety guidelines, contributing to a safe and thriving work environment.
  • Comply with information assurance guidelines, ensuring data security.

What is Expected:

  • Ability to interpret information and make informed decisions.
  • Knowledge of domestic energy and affordable warmth issues is a bonus.
  • Understanding of the housing sector and the benefit system.
  • Show empathy, with active listening skills that create connections.
  • Adaptability to different customer circumstances, demonstrating flexibility and reliability.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and proficiency in IT.
