Fantastic opportunity to join a well respected and established business based near Leicester as their Junior Web Developer / Graduate Web Developer

  • Permanent Role
  • Salary £26,000 - £29,000 depending on experience

About the Junior Web Developer / Graduate Developer Role:

  • You will be working closely with Website Manager, designers and marketing team to support in both front and back end WordPress Development
  • Responsible for maintaining and improving existing website
  • Contributing towards enhancement and innovation
  • As part of the team responsible for building new website connecting the business to its customers
  • This will include supporting the Website Manager to plan, develop and implement website features
  • Resolving bugs and testing
  • Collaboration with stake holders across the business

About you as the Junior Web Developer / Graduate Web Developer:

  • You'll have previous experience of web development, this might be as part of your studies, a work placement, professionally or developing your own websites as a hobby.
  • Able to demonstrate this with some form of portfolio of work demonstrating your skills and abilities which you'll be keen to build upon
  • Experience working with WordPress and PHP would be advantageous, or other technologies such as Node.js, Typescript, Tailwind CSS.
  • Familiar with version control systems such as Git
  • A knowledge or grasp of SQL
  • Knowing the basics of SEO
  • Have some previous experience of Advanced Custom Fields plugin, custom post types and Gutenberg
  • Above all a willingness to learn, a real desire to push yourself to try new and exciting things, a willingness to different ideas and ways of working to deliver and maintain great websites
