    Macildowie are working exclusively with a great business based in Nottingham, NG9 who are actively seeking an Accounts Assistant to join their team!

    This is a full time, permanent role working Monday to Thursday 08:00 - 16:30 and Friday 08:00 - 15:30. Hybrid working available with one day working from home each week once you are up to speed.

    Salary is based between £24,000 - £26,000 depending on experience.

    Benefits include 26 holidays + BH, free on site car parking.

    You will be working in a team of X5, reporting directly into the Financial Controller. Main responsibilities will be around Purchase Ledger however the role is varied and you will have exposure to Sales Ledger and Reconciliations.

    Key Responsibilities and Duties include:

    • Processing purchase invoices
    • Setting up new supplier accounts
    • Liaising with suppliers with invoice queries & statement reconciliations
    • Weekly payment of suppliers
    • Daily bank reconciliation and reporting to Group
    • Reconciling bank statements weekly
    • Inputting sales ledger invoices
    • Expense Cost allocation
    • Processing of credit card costs on the general ledger
    • Providing information to external auditors
    • Performing ad hoc administrative duties

    Experience required / desirable:

    • Excel - essential
    • Word - preferred
    • Software ERP system experience - Coins (preferable) or equivalent
    • AAT qualified - preferred not essential

    Macildowie are actively seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join an established business based in Sandiacre NG10 who's been around for the last 40 years that are looking for a new member of staff to join their team.

    This is a permanent vacancy, working Monday to Thursday 9am - 5pm and Friday 9am - 2pm (35 hours a week). It's worth noting that they would be open to someone looking for slightly less hours, minimum 30 hours.

    The salary ranges between £25,000 - £28,000 depending on experience. Free on site parking.

    The ideal candidate will have previous experience as an Accounts Assistant on similar role, able to use Sage / Xero accounting packages (they currently use Access but looking to switch) and has worked in a small team environment where everyone is happy to get stuck in to the role.

    You will be working alongside one of the Directors to ensure the Accounts is completed on both sides of the ledger.

    Requirements:

    • You will be either CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified or part qualified (final level)
    • You have strong financial modelling and Excel skills and have experience of using a variety of different finance systems. You'll be highly IT literate and comfortable operating and learning new systems. You will have excellent attention to detail, be able to manage your own workload effectively with good organisational skills.

    To lead a Purchase Ledger team of 7, ensuring that all invoices and payments are processed timely and effectively in line with company procedures for all group companies. Investigate and follow through on all invoice queries and payments on account to ensure a clean, well-managed ledger.     Person Specification

    This role encompasses all aspects of finance and operations, requiring good all-round accounting and commercial experience, alongside a desire to develop and improve.

    • Experience:
      • Previous Team management experience, 24 months minimum.
      • Previous Purchase Ledger management experience, 24 months minimum.
      • Previous purchase ledger experience, including working with foreign currencies.
      • Working understanding of VAT.
      • Previous credit control and good administrative skills required.
    • Skills:
      • Computer literate with a good working knowledge of Excel.
      • Excellent communication skills with the ability to deal with people at all levels both internally and externally.
      • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
      • Flexibility and conscientiousness.

    Core Activities

    • Lead, mentor, support, and motivate a team of Purchase Ledger Clerks to achieve their targets.
    • Conduct regular team appraisals, identify knowledge deficiencies, and initiate ongoing training for team members as required.
    • Manage team workload, ensuring data is processed accurately and timely, meeting all company policies and statutory obligations.
    • Closely monitor accounts to ensure cash flow is maximised, with supplier accounts paid to terms and reconciled to statements.

    Location: Remote and monthly visits to regional sites

    Reports to: Group Financial Controller

    You want to be the go to commercial point of contact for your region, forefront decisions that make a real business impact and foster real long term relationships with executive level stakeholders.

    Responsibilities:

    • Site Performance Management: Monitor sites performance against budgets and prior years, and analyse key drivers in variances. Work with sites to reduce and manage spending while driving improvements.
    • Financial Controls: Take ownership of sites month-end financial controls, including responsibility for sites month-end postings, accruals, and prepayments. Reconcile clinic bank accounts and provide accurate and timely finance information for the monthly business performance pack.
    • Business Planning: Support business planning by providing essential financial analysis to assist with the budgeting process. Develop strong relationships with Site Directors and operations through regular face-to-face meetings.
    • Central Services Financial Oversight: Monitor central performance against budgets and prior years, understanding key drivers in variances. Provide finance support to central teams to reduce and manage spending while driving improvements.
    • Cost Allocation: Manage the process of recharging central costs to sites within the Group. Contribute to ad hoc financial projects as required as part of the overall finance function.

    Requirements:

    • You will be either CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified or part qualified (final level)
    • You have strong financial modelling and Excel skills and have experience of using a variety of different finance systems. You'll be highly IT literate and comfortable operating and learning new systems. You will have excellent attention to detail, be able to manage your own workload effectively with good organisational skills.
    • You're a team player with excellent verbal and written communications skills. You're looking to join a well-established, supportive team who make it a great place to work.

    Macildowie Finance are supporting a luxury clothing retailer in their search for a Management Accountant to support recent business growth into new regions and markets. You will report directly to the Financial Controller and will not only play a pivotal part in the monthly Management Accounts, but you will also be involved in various Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) tasks to support stakeholders and improve business reporting. This is an opportunity to play a key role in supporting the growth of the company, bringing your expertise to a brand that prides itself on quality and innovation.

    What is the job?

    • Manage and prepare group management accounts for review by the Financial Controller.
    • Handle intercompany transactions and ensure accurate reconciliations.
    • Execute monthly balance sheet reconciliations for each entity, identifying potential risks and opportunities.
    • Manage daily banking operations and perform cash reconciliations in a diverse currency setting.
    • Complete VAT, EC Sales List, and Intrastat returns
    • Assist in weekly cash flow reporting and analysis alongside the Financial Controller.
    • Be responsible for the accurate preparation of the weekly payroll.
    • Utilise a strong understanding of IFRS 16 for the calculation and recording of lease agreements.
    • Operate and manage the NetSuite ERP system, ensuring its optimal performance.
    • Oversee the resolution of daily issues in NetSuite, including system reconciliations and error fixing.
    • Develop and maintain reports, searches, and dashboards within NetSuite.
    • Lead audit preparations and act as the primary contact for audit-related inquiries.
    • Support the creation of quarterly forecasts, annual budgets, and their respective presentations.
    • Analyse sales data to highlight trends and compile weekly trading reports with detailed insights.
    • Conduct in-depth analysis of company expenses to identify cost-saving opportunities.
    • Spearhead the development and automation of business reports and KPI monitoring tools.
    • Provide reporting assistance and improvements to various business units.
    • Undertake ad-hoc reporting and analytical projects as required.

    Who you are?

    • A Qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA etc.) or finalist
    • 3 years' experience in a similar role
    • Experienced with Finance/ERP systems and strong financial analysis skills.
    • Retail sector experience advantageous
    • Confident communicator, able to build rapport across the business and present financial information clearly.
    • A detail-oriented professional who thrives under pressure, demonstrates excellent time management, and is passionate about problem solving and innovation.

    Package?
